Marshall, TX – Wiley University is proud to announce the return of TEDxWiley University, a transformative event that will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Julius S. Scott, Sr. Chapel. This inspiring event, themed "We Matter: Transcendent Leadership," is part of Wiley University’s annual MLK Day Celebration and promises an evening of thought-provoking talks and community engagement.
This year’s TEDxWiley University features a dynamic lineup of speakers, including faculty, staff, and students, who will share their unique perspectives on leadership, purpose, and transformation. Each talk is designed to captivate audiences in less than 10 minutes, delivering powerful ideas that align with Wiley University’s mission to inspire and empower future leaders.
Featured speakers are representative of all the campus and local community constituents and include Wiley University’s President & CEO Herman J. Felton, Jr.
“This event is a powerful reminder of the transcendent leadership that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. exemplified,” said Dr. Tashia L. Bradley, COO and V.P. for Institutional Advancement. “By featuring voices from across our campus—faculty, staff, and students— and from the community, we highlight the diversity of thought and experience that makes our community extraordinary.”
TEDx events are independently organized gatherings inspired by the global TED conference series. They bring communities together to share impactful ideas and foster innovation. This year’s event marks the first TEDxWiley University gathering since 2019.
