Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment

The Institutional Research Office oversees College-wide accreditation (SACSCOC), assessment, and institutional research and provides support for the Wiley University strategic planning process.

Institutional Effectiveness staff have expertise in a variety of areas and are available as a resource to the University community on topics such as:

  • Higher education trends and issues:

  • Survey development

  • Data collection and data analysis (qualitative and quantitative)

  • Conducting research to address emerging issues and to provide strategic information to assess and strengthen institutional performance

Institutional effectiveness is the systematic, explicit, and documented process of measuring institutional performance against mission in all aspects of an institution. (SACSCOC Resource Manual, May 2012, p 13)
