New Freshman Information and Requirements

You are a First-Time Freshmen if you are a student without college credit or earned college credit prior to high school graduation through dual enrollment. Any First-Time Freshman student interested in admission to Wiley University must have graduated from an accredited high school with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or have successfully completed the General Education Development (GED) Test.

Official High School Transcript

An official high school transcript must be submitted with the following information:

  • All course and grades

  • High School graduation date

  • Official School Seal and/or School Official’s Signature

If a GED was earned and completed, a passing rating on the GED for non-high school graduates.

Home-schooled students must submit a final, official transcript signed by a school official, defined as the adult person who was primarily responsible for the education of the student. An official transcript must include:

  • The dates of attendance and terms of enrollment

  • Physical address and phone number of the school

  • A complete listing of all specific courses taken

Test Scores

Official scores from the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or American College Testing (ACT) are for course placement purposes only. You can request your scores to be sent directly to Wiley University when you register for the test(s). After you have taken the test, you can still request scores by clicking the links provided below and following the instructions provided.

Proof of Meningitis Vaccination Requirement

Effective Jan. 1, 2014, state law (Senate Bill 62) requires that students who will be under age 22 on their first day of class at a public, private or independent institution of higher education in Texas provide proof of immunization for bacterial meningitis. The vaccination or booster dose must have been received within five years prior to enrollment or at least ten days before the start of classes.

Wiley requires you to meet this requirement before you will be allowed to register for classes.
