Marshall, Tx - Wiley University proudly announces that Dr. Danielle Brooks, Vice President for Student Development, Enrollment Management, and Strategic Retention, has been selected to serve on the committee for the College Board’s prestigious Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Conference. This annual, three-day professional development event is dedicated to fostering collaboration among HBCU professionals and advocates, providing a platform to explore innovative solutions, share best practices, and drive strategies that enhance enrollment management and student outcomes at HBCUs nationwide.
The HBCU Conference is a gathering point for education professionals committed to increasing access and opportunities for African American students. Focused on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing HBCUs, the event covers topics ranging from improving student retention to ensuring operational efficiencies in enrollment management. Attendees engage in dynamic discussions on how to implement groundbreaking initiatives and build a stronger future for students at HBCUs.
As a committee member, Dr. Brooks will collaborate with other leaders in the field to design sessions that address the most pressing issues in student development and retention at HBCUs. Under her leadership at Wiley University, Dr. Brooks oversees key departments critical to student success, including admissions, student engagement, residence life, and student health and wellness. Her hands-on experience in student development, diversity, and strategic retention makes her an invaluable addition to the conference's planning efforts.
