Baltimore, MD – Wiley University is excited to bring its President’s Promise Scholarship Program to Baltimore, Maryland, on February 2nd, 2025, at 11:30 AM at the Southern Baptist Church, located at 1701 N Chester St, Baltimore, MD 21213. Bishop Dr. Donte' L. Hickman ‘94, Wiley University Board of Trustees member, will host the event. President and CEO Herman J. Felton, Jr., Ph.D., J.D., will present at the event, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore the diverse academic and leadership opportunities at Wiley University.
During the event, prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to learn more about Wiley University's proud legacy, mission, and academic offerings, while hearing from admissions, financial aid, and academic affairs experts. Wiley University, with a history of over 150 years, stands as a beacon of light in Marshall, TX, and beyond. Known for its social good and leadership legacy, the university has produced alumni who have made lasting contributions in diverse fields. Esteemed figures such as Ms. Opal Lee '53, Mr. Heman M. Sweatt '34, Mr. James Farmer, Jr. '38, Mr. Bill Spiller '38, Ms. Zephyr Wright '42, and Ms. Thelma Dewitty '41 are just a few of the university's graduates who have made transformed society.

Wiley University offers 16 undergraduate degrees and three full online graduate programs to meet the diverse needs of its students. The university offers an Extended Adult Education Program for those with college credits who have not yet completed their degree. Additionally, we are excited to announce the inaugural class joining the Thelma Dewitty Honors Program—an initiative for incoming new students interested in participating in a uniquely dynamic, customized academic program that will produce the next generation of scholars.
This event will also feature virtual consultations with experts in financial aid, admissions, and academic affairs, ensuring that attendees receive personalized guidance throughout the admissions process and making their transition to Wiley University a seamless experience.
