Wiley University Announces 2023 Fall Preview Day

Wiley University announces the 2023 Fall Preview Day for prospective high school students on November 4, 2023, at 10:00 am, following the Annual Wiley Homecoming Parade.  Preview Day will begin at the Julius S. Scott, Sr. Chapel, located on Wiley’s campus, 711 Wiley Ave., Marshall, TX. 

“We invite high school students to visit with us during our Preview Day  to learn more about Wiley’s academic and social life,” said De’Onqua Isaac, Executive Director of Enrollment Management. During preview day, the institution anticipates the participation of over 200 students from across Louisiana and Texas. Participants will learn how to become Wiley students through a special welcome from President & CEO Herman J. Felton Jr., Ph.D., J.D., various workshops, presentations, tours, and experiences. Students will also have the opportunity to apply for scholarships and interview for the Wiley A Cappella Choir, Wiley Marching Band, Heman Sweatt Scholars for Social Good and Leadership, and the Melvin Tolson/Denzel Washington Forensic Society.

Eligible participants can receive on the spot admission with their unofficial transcripts. Tuition at Wiley University is $17,500 including room, and board. All students receive some type of scholarship (amounts vary)  to attend Wiley University.  The Office of Financial Aid will be available to assist students in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and obtaining scholarships from such partners as the UNCF and the Fidelity Scholars Program.

Although the preview day program begins at 10:00 am, participants are also encouraged to begin their day at the Annual Homecoming Parade and Battle of the Bands, which begins on University Ave. at 9:00 am.
