Lorenzo Munoz — RRAC Defensive Player of the Week

Lorenzo Munoz, a senior goalkeeper on the Wiley soccer team, was named the RRAC's Defensive Player of the Week for two consecutive weeks to close out the regular season. Munoz, a senior goalkeeper from Juarez, Mexico, recorded six saves — all after halftime — to earn a 1-0 double-overtime victory over St. Thomas (Texas) to conclude the regular season. In the week prior, Munoz earned his first such honor by posting his first career shutout in Wiley's 1-0 nailbiter at Bacone. He also stopped four shots to hold off Texas College and preserve a 3-2 win for the Wildcats. Munoz finished his college career with three consecutive wins to help Wiley close out with a 4-7 conference record with a mark of 4-11 overall.
